iPlay

This year we were very lucky to be selected to take part in the iPlay programme with University of Limerick. Local TY groups in Limerick Educate Together Secondary School and Mungret Community College were trained by iPlay tutors on how to adapt PE lessons for students with additional needs. 

Our students then attended the sessions in the local schools and had the opportunity to engage in iPlay sessions. The programme is more than just about physical activity, it is about building connections in the local community and forming real friendships. On Tuesdays and Fridays when the boys in Limerick Community Special saw the visual for iPlay there was real excitement. 

By the end of the sessions we were sad to say goodbye to our friends but we know we will see each other again next year and make new friends in the future. Thank  you to Daniel Tindall at University of Limerick who made this programme possible.
