Thomond Class

06/05/2025

Thomond class recently had a fabulous trip to Curraghchase. We played in the playground, ate our snack and went on a beautiful walk around the lake. The sun shine added to our glorious day. We then went on to the Woodlands where we visited their pet farm and had some lovely food.

Just before Easter we took part in the Team Limerick clean up. We picked up all the rubbish around our school and in Mungret park leaving everywhere looking lovely. We are regular visitors to Mungret park so we were delighted to be able to contribute to it.

One of favourite activities each week is school shop. We take turns working as the shopkeeper. Other students come and buy a treat. Recently we've been selling ice cream cones in our shop which has been going down a treat!

Before Easter we had the pleasure of going to the Limetree Theatre to see Aladdin performed by the TY students from Limerick Educate together secondary schools. These were the friends we made through iPlay earlier in the year.

We are studying the Junior cycle Level 1 and 2 learning programmes. We've been fortunate enough to go on many trips this year which has support our study of 'Being part of a community'. Our boys are making great progress for our Junior cycle!
